SAN JOSE, Calif. - A defendant in the public nuisance action against lead paint and lead manufacturers on March 1 filed a motion for summary judgment in the Santa Clara County, Calif., Superior Court, saying the municipal plaintiffs cannot show a "public nuisance" without naming or showing a specific site of lead or lead-based paint contamination in the public realm (Santa Clara County, et al. v.
