HOUSTON - An insured's proposed expert is well qualified to testify about the cleanup of an oil spill that occurred after Hurricane Katrina, but the expert's opinions on the law are not relevant and are improper, a Texas federal judge said April 23 in granting a portion of an insurer's motion to exclude the expert testimony (Cox Operating LLC v.
